Getting Started

Q: How quickly can I deploy infrastructure with Cubit Colo?

A:

Standard deployments typically go live within 5-7 business days from contract signing. This includes rack installation, power provisioning, and network connectivity. Expedited deployments can be arranged for urgent needs.

Q: What information do I need to provide to get started?

A:

We need your equipment specifications (dimensions, weight, power requirements), desired locations, network bandwidth needs, and any specific compliance requirements. Our sales team will guide you through a detailed assessment.

Q: Do you offer tours of your datacenter facilities?

A:

Yes! We encourage prospective customers to tour facilities before commitment. Contact us to schedule a tour at any of our locations. Virtual tours are also available for international clients.

Q: Can I start with a small deployment and scale up?

A:

Absolutely. Many customers start with a quarter rack or even a few rack units and scale as needed. Our flexible contracts and month-to-month options make it easy to grow without long-term commitments.

Pricing & Billing

Q: Are there any hidden fees or surprise charges?

A:

No. We pride ourselves on transparent pricing. Your monthly rate covers rack space, power allocation, and included bandwidth. Any additional services (remote hands, extra bandwidth, etc.) are clearly itemized and approved before billing.

Q: What payment methods do you accept?

A:

We accept ACH transfers, wire transfers, and credit cards. Enterprise customers can arrange invoice billing with NET-30 terms after credit approval.

Q: Do you offer discounts for long-term contracts?

A:

Yes. Annual contracts receive a 10% discount, and 3-year contracts receive 20% off. Volume discounts are available for multiple racks or multi-location deployments.

Q: What happens if I exceed my bandwidth allocation?

A:

Bandwidth overages are billed at $0.10/GB. We provide alerts at 75% and 90% of your allocation so you can upgrade proactively. Most customers find it more economical to upgrade their plan.

Q: Is there a setup fee?

A:

Standard deployments have a one-time $500 setup fee covering installation, initial configuration, and testing. This is waived for annual contracts. Custom deployments may have different setup fees.

Technical

Q: What power configurations are available?

A:

We offer 120V and 208V power with various amperage options (1A to 30A per rack). Redundant power feeds (A+B) are standard. High-density deployments up to 20kW per rack can be accommodated in select facilities.

Q: Can I bring my own IP addresses?

A:

Yes, you can announce your own IP space via BGP. We also provide IPv4 and IPv6 addresses if needed. Our network team will work with you on proper BGP configuration and route announcements.

Q: What network port speeds do you offer?

A:

Standard ports range from 1Gbps to 100Gbps. Most deployments use 1Gbps or 10Gbps. Higher speeds are available in major markets. All ports include DDoS protection.

Q: Do you support IPv6?

A:

Yes, all our facilities are fully IPv6 enabled. We provide IPv6 allocations at no additional cost and can help with dual-stack configurations.

Q: What cooling options are available?

A:

Standard facilities provide traditional raised-floor cooling. Hot/cold aisle containment is available in most locations. High-density deployments can access in-row cooling or liquid cooling in select facilities.

Q: Can I access my equipment remotely?

A:

Yes, through several methods: console access via remote KVM, IPMI/iLO for out-of-band management, and VPN access to your equipment. We also offer remote hands services for physical tasks.

Network & Connectivity

Q: How many carriers are available in your facilities?

A:

This varies by location. Major metro facilities typically have 40-60+ carriers. We maintain carrier-neutral facilities, so you can choose any available provider. Our team can help you evaluate options.

Q: Do you offer direct cloud connectivity?

A:

Yes, we provide direct connections to AWS (Direct Connect), Azure (ExpressRoute), Google Cloud (Interconnect), Oracle Cloud, and IBM Cloud in most locations. Setup takes 5-10 business days.

Q: What is your network uptime SLA?

A:

Our standard SLA is 99.99% network availability. Enterprise customers can arrange custom SLAs up to 99.999% with financial credits for any downtime.

Q: Do you provide DDoS protection?

A:

Yes, basic DDoS protection is included with all plans. Advanced DDoS mitigation with higher thresholds and detailed analytics is available as an add-on service.

Q: Can I set up a private connection between locations?

A:

Absolutely. We can provision point-to-point circuits, MPLS, or SD-WAN connections between your deployments. Private VLANs are also available for Layer 2 connectivity.

Security & Compliance

Q: Can I get access logs for compliance purposes?

A:

Yes, detailed access logs are maintained for all facility entries and are available upon request. This includes timestamp, identity verification, and purpose of visit.
